Culminating Activity

Well this is it! Below you will find instructions on a day to day basis. Ensure that you work diligently so that you don't fall behind. If you fond that you are moving well through the period and you have extra time - move onto the next day. Don't wait to start the next day - use your time wisely!

Day 1 - Dodge and Burn

Do the review exercise: Dodge and Burn. Do Use the image file: Model.jpg in Photoshop. 

**Follow the Video (dodge and burn) and help pdf (Lesson 1dh_dodge and burn)

Day 2 

From your lighting pattern images: Split Light; Broad Lighting; Short lighting; Loop light; Butterfly lighting; Rembrandt lighting; Dodge and Burn one of the patterns. 

Day 3

Do the review exercise: Sharpen. Do image: hooded guy. jpg in Photoshop. 

**Follow video (called Grunge).

Day 4

From your lighting pattern images: Split Light; Broad Lighting; Short lighting; Loop light; Butterfly lighting; Rembrandt lighting; Sharpen one of your patterns. 

Day 5

From your lighting pattern images: Split Light; Broad Lighting; Short lighting; Loop light; Butterfly lighting; Rembrandt lighting; use Dodge and Burn/ Sharpen to enhance one image. 

Day 6 - Grading Day

For Presentation: ​ 

Submit the following in a folder called "Presentation" on your z: drive:
  • Both of the tutorials using 2 different images that you used
  • PLUS one of your own images from Day 5
  • Total of 5 jpegs need to be handed into me.

Grade evaluated out of 10 for Culminating. I will base my assessment on: 

Grading Rubric: 
  • 7.0 if you have worked to standard 
  • Less than 7.0 if your work is not to standard 
  • Less than 5.0 if your work is incomplete 
  • 8.0 if you work is all complete and of reasonable quality 
  • 9.0 to 10 if your work seems exceptional.
