If there’s one thing that’s true when it comes to commerce, it's that the perceived value of your products and the trustworthiness of your business is often judged by the quality of your ad design/overall image. And a big part of having an attractive product these days also means having high-quality, beautiful product images.

But it's not just aesthetics we're talking about. Showcasing your products with high-quality images can also be the winning difference between a conversion and no sale at all. This is particularly true if you’re also distributing your products on marketplace sites like Amazon where they are displayed alongside those of your competitors.

Your Task

Is to create an advertisement for your featured product. You will choose a product of interest - perfume, watch, phone etc...Something small enough so that it can be easily photographed in our studio. Think about 3 key selling features that will help the general public want to buy your product.

Include:

Your photographed image is the forefront
Catchy headline
3 selling features
An interesting background
A company logo and website address

Step 1

Research! Consult the internet to gather ideas of a product you would like to shoot and create an ad for.

Step 2

Draw 2 sketches outlining:

Your headline
Your 3 selling features
Your product placement
The type of background

Show me when your done in order to move onto Step 3.

Step 3

Bring in your item, get into your groups and start shooting in the studio.

Step 4

Once you have your shot; download it to your computer and start working in PhotoShop.
